| Ottawa Reformed Church seeks to be the presence of Christ in the rural community north of Zeeland and Holland. God’s mission for us is to “Love and Lead People to Live for Jesus.” Ottawa reaches out to families with a variety of Sunday and Wednesday programs for children and youth. Bible Classes, crafts, and choir for 3 year olds thru 1st grade. GEMS and Cadets for 2nd thru 6th grade. Junior High Youth Group for 7th and 8th graders. “Collision” for High School Students. A new ministry for Post High students is just getting underway. Ottawa has Sunday School Classes and small group Bible Studies for all ages. A special attraction for both Junior and Senior High Students is the 6:00 am Tuesday Morning Bible Study, featuring breakfast, worship, and small groups all before school. Sunday worship at Ottawa is in a blended style with a mix of organ and piano favorites along with more contemporary songs. Worship comes out of the talents of the congregation, with vocalists regularly leading the congregation in singing, and occasionally the youth praise band leads worship. Ottawa has a strong Kids Hope relationship with Roosevelt Elementary School in Zeeland. Every week, over 40 mentors give their time and love to connect with the kids of Roosevelt. Many other volunteers from Ottawa find opportunities to serve outside the church through Love INC in Allendale, His Harvest Stand in Zeeland, a twice-yearly Car Care Saturday, ministries with migrant farm families in the area, as well as mission trips locally, nationally, and internationally.
