At Peace Church, we have a variety of programs to meet the needs of all ages.  Below is a description of some of our programs.

Worship:  Every Sunday we gather as a community to worship God and learn how the Bible affects our lives today.  Through the practical and relevant teaching of Pastor John Ornée, you will be encouraged and challenged to live your life pleasing to God.  Our service times are 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.  Our morning service is a blend of contemporary praise songs with traditional hymns that are enjoyed by all ages.  A nursery is available for infants through 4 years old.  Our evening service is more traditional with a focus on the great hymns of the past.

Sunday School:  After the morning service, classes are available for everyone from 3 years to adult.  The children are grouped by grade and learn about topics relevant to their lives.  Adults gather in smaller groups and study topics from the Bible in-depth and how they apply today.  This is done through teaching as well as through discussion.  It is in a smaller setting such as this that relationships are easier to build.

Small Groups:  Adults of all ages meet together every other Sunday evening in each other homes to interact with a small group study topic and to fellowship with one another.

eXtreme Wednesdays:   This takes place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from October through March.  This program is for children 1st Grade through 8th Grade.  We meet in small groups based on age, play games, make a craft and learn about God and how the Bible relates to life.  Occasionally, we also have a ‘fun’ outing such as a hayride, bowling or a movie night.  eXtreme Wednesdays are from 6:45 pm – 8:30 pm and transportation is available for those in the Mapleview Mobile Home Park or the River Club Apartments.

High School Youth Group:  They meet on Sundays from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm October through April.  We come together to play games, have fun and learn how God influences daily life.  Fun events in the past have included a corn maze, Michigan Adventure and bike rides as well as movie nights.  A summer mission trip to stretch our comfort zones and see God in action typically takes place in June.

Women’s Bible Study:  This is a group for women and by women.  Every week they gather to encourage each other and discuss practical topics.  They meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm.  Since women lead this group, it meets the needs of women as only women can.

KIDS HOPE USA:   Volunteers from Peace Church mentor students at Woodbridge Elementary each week.  Both students and mentors enjoy the time they spend together as they build a relationship together.  This hour spent together each week helps to encourage the student in their school studies and in their everyday life inside and outside of school.

Vacation Bible School:  Every Summer Peace Church hosts a Vacation Bible School program that reaches out to children in our community with the love of Jesus and the timely truths of the Bible.  Exciting themes and activities engage the young and old alike and culminate in a VBS themed worship experience on the closing Sunday.

Jail Ministry:  On Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons, several men from the church engage inmates at the Fillmore Street County Jail about life issues and the potential that each inmate has to make life-changing decisions.

Peace Church cares about people.  If you have any needs – spiritual or otherwise – please let us know!  We would be delighted to help.  If you have any questions about any of the programs mentioned, please let us know.
